PISCES

Flag of Pisces

Flag

The Flag of Pisces is lilac-violet, the unstable color of inner contradictions which symbolizes gloom, mystery and melancholy. It is a color of alien influences, repentance, patience and sanctity. Violet is the dark shade of fascination, magic, supernatural, mystic and mysterious - the incomprehensible. It has a deep and even suppressing influence on the psyche, intoxicating the mind by hypnosis and meditation. It has the circle form with a wavy contour.

Symbol - Fish

Pisces is symbolized by the Fish

Symbol is the two fishes, going in opposite directions. Approaching life in a fishy way has its benefits since they go with the flow, but it has its downside as well.

The two fishes in the symbol for Pisces are variously represented in, for example, 'criss cross' form, one above the other facing opposite directions, and often with a cord joining them to each other. The cord between the two fishes suggests an unbroken link between the Piscean duality of other-worldliness and the everyday, a link that enables them to slip easily between the world of imagination and the concrete everyday world, without losing contact with either.

The astrological symbol for Pisces has appeared in various forms in different civilizations through the ages. One of the earliest uses of the symbol was in the Babylonian Zodiac, something noted in the works of Carl G Jung. The presence of the symbol in Babylonian culture is probably the earliest, predating Egyptian astrological records by about two millennia. The Greeks took their mythology into the skies by identifying constellations with their gods and heroes. The myth of Typhon has been linked to the 11 starred constellation of Pisces.

Comparison with its symbol

Comparison with its symbol, the Fish: Pisces is symbolized by two fish swimming in opposite directions. Pisceans often feel like they are being pulled in different directions, making it difficult to make concrete decisions. The symbol of the fish has been associated with followers of Jesus Christ.

The glyph for Pisces can be seen as depicting two fish swimming in opposite directions. As well, it shows two crescents of receptivity pointing outwards, held together by the line of matter. The sign of Pisces is considered a receptive sign - one that is impressionable, spiritual, and open-minded.

Color

Many artistic people are born under the sign of Pisces - actors, dramatists, musicians and painters. The female Pisces is truly feminine and the colors with which she is happiest with will be predominantly PASTEL. Of these, the TURQUOISE BLUE or SEA GREEN shades of the ocean will be seen most frequently. WHITE is also fortunate to those born under the Pisces sign and, to a lesser degree GREY. In combination, the new shades of blue - pewter or slate - could well be attractive to Pisces. The Pisces home will likely be eclectic reflecting the artistic temperament, and will be filled with lots of art and bric-a-brac.

Pisces

Pisces (Latin for fish (plural) is a zodiac constellation which lies between Aquarius to the west and Aries to the east. Pisces is the domicile of Jupiter (since its discovery Neptune has been considered Pisces' ruling or co-ruling planet by many modern astrologers) and the exaltation of Venus. Pisces is also one of the four Mutable signs (along with Gemini, Virgo, and Sagittarius), and rules over the feet. Pisces is associated with the Twelfth house of the horoscope, and therefore also rules over drugs, secrets, and large institutions, such as prisons, hospitals, and even business or governmental organizations.

The trident of the Roman sea-god shows Neptune as a vast, deep, mysterious and unknown force. Although the effects of Neptune can be seemingly nebulous, such obscure aspects can be dissolved by merging into the vast ocean of oneness with the universe.

This is the mutable water sign. Piscean energy is the most fluid and watery of all. People born under this sign are sensitive, dreamy and mystical. Unlike the two other water energies, Scorpio and Cancer, Pisces energy has no hard shell. The Piscean emotions are pure and simple. These people go with the flow, giving it an easiness, and oneness with nature. They prefer to follow rather than lead. Piscean energy is unworldly, imaginative and mystical.

They’re empathetic, open-hearted and intuitive. They rely on their instincts rather than facts or logic, experiencing things almost completely subjectively. Day dreamy and creative, they prefer to go with the flow rather than fight the current.

The sign of the Fish rules the House of the Unconscious, which says a lot about the world that Pisceans live in. The Fish enjoys alternating between conscious and unconscious states, the better to develop a romance in their vivid minds. When it’s back to earth, Pisceans are selfless and intuitive and love to shower a partner with exquisite fantasies and other sweet things becomes a blissful state for both. The emotions of the Fish run deep and those born under this Water sign can flow like a river and have a sensitive and spiritual nature, which can be quite alluring.

Fish appear to be individuals, but they ever seen a school of them swimming together? They act as one. Each is part of a greater whole. And the Pisces Fish are more aware of their interdependency than any other sign. It's as if Pisces live in an ocean and the spirit that flows through them is like the one ocean that flows through all fishes. The symbol of the Fish is also the symbol of Christianity, the predominant religion during the past two thousand years -- also known to astrologers as the "Age of Pisces".

Pisces are spiritual in nature and emotional in expression. Pisces intuition and imagination are at once Pisces strengths and weakness. Pisces are attracted to the mystical side of things, and herein lay potential danger, for when pulled beneath the currents of everyday life, the realms of imagination and the subconscious offer little structure. Without the foundation of reality, it becomes easy to flounder and to lose direction. Pisces own salvation, however, can come from helping others less fortunate that themselves, especially those who have fallen into the misty realms of drugs, alcohol or spiritual confusion.

The Pisces motto might be "Reality is just a shared illusion," and, in a higher sense this may be true. Nevertheless, they still need to survive in this "shared illusion" of reality, and sometimes this becomes a struggle for the compassionate Fish, who can feel the pain of the world as if it were their own. There's no easy escape for them. Their best path is to follow a creative or spiritual pursuit while doing their work in the real world.

If they are unable to pierce its mysteries there will be confusion, dishonesty, martyrdom, and indecisiveness.

Neptune Rules the Sign of Pisces. Neptune appears to be a higher vibration of Venus, offering a deeper and more refined form of energy. When one can get in touch with some of the spiritual energies of Neptune, then they experience a higher degree of compassion, beauty, and divinity.

Neptune was once known as Poseidon the Greek sea god who administered all the lakes and the rivers. Neptune turned himself into a stallion to woo the goddess Demeter when she became a mare, thus he has been called the inventor of horse racing. The planet Neptune bears its closest association with Pisces, the most watery of all the signs, and is particularly concerned with dancing and poetry. Neptune encourages imagination, sensitivity and idealism.

On the downside: Dishonesty, Martyrdom, and Indecisiveness in most affairs.
Their good qualities include: Sensitivity to the needs of others and Idealism.
Their life’s work: Learning to use their creative imagination to the benefit of others, not just self.

Key Planet - Neptune

Ruler: Neptune - symbol of fantasy and imagination This blue planet is associated with the sea and governs the intuitive mind, transformation and spirituality. It is the psychic's planet and reigns over dreams, fantasy, sensitivity and refinement. It is also the planet of compulsions and addiction.

Neptune was the God (or Goddess) of the Seas. It symbolizes the dissolution of reality, for all Earth arises from the ocean and eventually to it returns. Neptune is represented by the mists, which prevent us from seeing what's really as the key planet for Pisces; Neptune is about the spiritual and the mystical. It's about what one cannot see with five senses.

Element - Water

Astrologically, the water element symbolizes emotion. Water runs deep; it seeks its own level and will flow until it has found it. The cycle of water is endless with the snows falling in the mountains and melting. The mountain streams join to make the great rivers that run to the sea. The tides and currents churn the oceans. Similarly, our feelings are flowing as they connect the present with past experiences. Sometimes the waters are so deep that we cannot put words to our feelings.

The waters of Pisces are about the waters of consciousness itself. We live in a sea of thoughts and feelings and beliefs. These waters connect each of us to one another in ways that go beyond our rational understanding of life.

Twelfth House - Endings

The Twelfth House is like the astrological refuse collector. It's not about endings in the traditional sense; it's more about recycling. Here is where we brush up against our own limitations and see how they undo what we've done. Here is where it all dissolves into the boundless cosmos, only to be transformed and to start anew, back in the First House, all over again.

Origin

Pisces is depicted by two playful fish, frolicking head-to-tail in a counter-clockwise direction, although it is also shown as two fish facing opposite directions linked by a band. Egyptian astrologers believed the constellation Pegasus was a boat that pulled the two fish underneath it --hence the band.

In Greek astrology, the Pisces story is similar to that of Capricorn. Venus and Cupid were supposedly playing innocently by a river when they were approached by a monster (the same one, in fact, that threatened Capricorn). Like Capricorn, they dove into the river for safety, at which time the goddess Minerva took pity on them and lifted them into the heavens for posterity.

The significant aspects to this myth are many. First of all, Venus represents pure love and Cupid mischief in romance, both of which are strongly present in the Piscean character. Secondly, the two were saved by water -- hence Pisces is a water sign, occurring during the time of year when rainfall is most plentiful. In fact, Jesus Christ was born in the Piscean age (time itself travels through ages of the zodiac which affect us all), promised to wash away man's sins, and is often represented by a fish; he also fed multitudes of people with two fish and five loaves, magically turning them into twelve baskets of food, which astrologers believe to be symbolic of the Piscean trait of great spiritual love to all twelve zodiac signs. Finally, Minerva is the goddess of wisdom and patroness of the arts; so Pisceans are spiritually wise and immensely creative.

Pisces is ruled by both Jupiter and Neptune, both of which govern the imagination and emotions, as opposed to practical matters. As a result, Pisceans are the most sensitive, creative, and adaptable of all the signs, but the least organized. In the anatomical realm, Pisces rules the feet and toes, the foundation on which the entire body is supported. This is ironic, because Pisceans are not considered strong people, either physically or emotionally. But just as each sign is assigned a part of the body, so each is also assigned a stage of man's life; the ancients believed that Aries' immature selfishness resembles the first stage of childhood, and that therefore Pisces' spiritual wisdom represents the final stage of maturity. Indeed, there is a great deal of strength --albeit a misunderstood one -- in spiritual wisdom.

Characteristics of sign and planets

Signs: - Feet of kalapurusha, holy shrines, altars, sacred places and rivers, tanks, all oceans, hermitages, fountains, sacred pagodas, localities frequented by mahatmas, pumps, cisterns, fish ponds and excessive watery tracts.

Sun in Pisces

As the twelfth and last sign of the zodiac, Pisces contains within itself a little experience of all the signs. This gives Pisces Suns the ability to identify with people from all walks of life -- from all backgrounds -- in some way. These individuals are not only changeable and adaptable, they have open minds and tremendous understanding. But Pisces itself is often misunderstood. Pisces Suns may spend a good portion of their lives yearning for understanding, and the other part in a state of divine discontent. Suffering is sometimes glamorized in the Piscean world.

Sun in Pisces people are frequently pegged as wishy-washy, but this is all a matter of opinion. What they will find behind a vaguely directionless, spacey manner is a deep person with real dreams. Their dreams are more than getting that picket fence or making it up the corporate ladder. Pisces are tuned in to a higher purpose and their dreams transcend the individual. A deep love for humanity and compassion that knows no bounds is found with this placement of the Sun.

The Sun is in aversion to its own domicile (Leo) here, which shows a tendency not to look at or see the self. This indicates that the self and ego, and a drive for greatness are often de-emphasized to a large extent. This doesn't mean that they suffer from mediocrity just that pride isn't usually one of their vices; and when they do achieve something great (like Einstein) they are modest about it. More literally, this is the Sun's 8th solar house, which means that this is the place where ego and selfishness dies. This sign also belongs to the watery quadrant of winter. The result is that the native is very sensitive, compassionate, and considerate of others feelings and needs, and can be insensitive to their own. Because the Sun is in aversion to its own domicile, it is likely that they can be easily influenced and confused on issues that others feel strongly about, particularly when there are two opposing views. Their perspective will allow them to be able to see the other points of view easily. Because the lord of this place is Jupiter, and the Sun is not behaving like its self, these individuals are a bit retiring at times and often seek solace in order to put into perspective all that they experience, which is often considerable.

In a diurnal chart, the heat and dryness of the day help to purify and create clear distinctions in the natives sense of purpose. It also makes it easier for these individuals to make sense of their experiences more objectively and with some sense of reason rather than just relying on gut instinct. They make good moderators or judges because of their ability to combine compassion with their objectivity.

In a nocturnal chart, the cold and wet of the night work against the hot and dry nature of the Sun. These individuals may not be very clear about their sense of purpose in life. Therefore it may take quite a while for them to decide upon their life's direction. They may be overly sensitive and may worry too much about pleasing everyone without consideration for their own needs. When this gets too burdensome, they often drop out of sight for a time.

Pisceans are not known to be cutthroat business types, nor are they given to throwing themselves out into the world in an aggressive manner. But make no mistake about it; Pisces can be extraordinarily successful when given the chance to express themselves. The arts, marketing, music, teaching, drama, and healing arts - these are all fields in which Pisces can find expression. Their imagination, attunement to humanity, and remarkable intuition endow them with enviable gifts of insight and creativity.

Pisces is a sensitive sign -- both sensitive to criticism and sensitive to others' feelings. Easily touched by human suffering, at least in theory, Pisces wouldn't hurt a fly. They believe in people, are deeply hurt by compassionless human behavior, and have a hard time saying no. Harsh realities are avoided either through escapist behavior or self-delusion; but every now and again reality does raise its ugly head, and hits Pisces over the head. This is a sad time indeed. Pisces retreats into their own world, self-pitying and giving pep talks to them ("I will never trust again!"). Rest assured, though, that these periods are rather short-lived and even useful. Pisces seems to derive energy from their (generally short) bouts of self-pity. They come back stronger, with a spring in their step, ready to face the world again, and just as, if not more, compassionate and trusting as they were before. Some might even wonder if Pisces finds pleasure in suffering. Sometimes this is the case, but most of the time; Pisces pulls a lot of creative energy from sadness. Pisces is the poet or artist with angst, although this trait is often more apparent with Moon in Pisces.

We find plenty of artists, poets, and musicians with Sun (and other personal planets) in Pisces. Piscean themes are woven throughout the songs of Billy Corgan of the Smashing Pumpkins and Kurt Cobain of Nirvana, for example.

Some Famous People with Sun in Pisces: Elizabeth Barrett Browning (Sun, Mercury, Venus, and Mars in Pisces), Drew Barrymore (Sun and Venus in Pisces), Kurt Cobain (Sun, Mercury, and Venus in Pisces), Smashing Pumpkins' Billy Corgan, Cindy Crawford, Billy Crystal (Sun, Mercury, and Mars in Pisces), Albert Einstein, George Harrison, Kato Kaelin (Sun and Moon in Pisces), Jennifer Love Hewitt, Freddie Prinze Jr., Michelangelo, Aidan Quinn (Sun and Moon in Pisces), Rob Reiner (Sun, Mercury, and Mars in Pisces), Dr. Seuss, Sharon Stone, Elizabeth Taylor (Sun, Mercury, and Mars in Pisces), Bruce Willis.

Moon in Pisces

The Moon is in the 9th sign from its own domicile (Cancer) here. Because the 9th often has to do with travel and exile and the Moon is, by contrast, about belonging, there is an underlying tension created here. As a result, they often long for a place to put down roots, but at the same time feel like they can't stay too long in any one place. Because of the bicorporal nature of this sign, the Moon (feelings and emotions) lacks stability, which creates moodiness in the native. The 9th gives the Moon an ability to see the moods of others. Sometimes this becomes overwhelming and they occasionally have to shut the world out in order to regain equilibrium. A few have a very highly developed psychic sensitivity (like Edgar Cayce). Because of this extreme sensitivity, their feelings can be easily hurt. Because Jupiter is lord of the Moon, this placement is about finding the proper perspective from which to explore their emotions.

In a diurnal chart, The heat and dryness help to moderate the excessively wet and cold nature of the Moon. This should help to minimize the instability of the emotions to some extent and provide some limit to their sensitivity to others, which would otherwise prove more overwhelming.

In a nocturnal chart, the cold and wet nature of the Moon is amplified. Sensitivity is unrestrained as are mood swings. They may be so sensitive that they shy away from too much involvement with others or they may lack a sense of proper boundaries and get involved in co-dependent relationships.

Lunar Pisceans are known to be dreamy and not always in touch with reality. However, though these people may not always show real-world savvy in day-to-day, practical affairs, they make up for this with remarkable intuition. They can put themselves in anybody's shoes with extreme ease. On the plus side, this endows them with remarkable compassion and love. The down side with this apparent ability to break down boundaries is that these people can easily lose themselves in the suffering of others.

Their sense of humor is delightfully silly and a bit odd. These are perceptive souls who seem to be in touch with all the nuances and subtleties of human nature. Often this comes through in a strong sense of humor that is more of the receptive kind than the type of sense of humor that would make people the "life of the party". It's generally pretty easy to get them giggling.

Moon in Pisces people may get tagged as spaced out, but there's a lot more to them than meets the eye. They feel things out, and rely on their intuition. It just doesn't feel right for them to do otherwise. Their dreaminess can mean plenty of moments of absent-mindedness. These times of oblivion can land them in all sorts of predicaments with others who can too easily misunderstand these complex souls. Without plenty of space and time to daydream, Pisces Moons easily get overloaded with life.

Generally considered soft-hearted and sweet, Lunar Pisceans care about others and are easily touched by human suffering. This tendency gains them the reputation as suckers for sob stories. Although this may sometimes be true, many Lunar Pisceans learn, in their lifetimes, how to discern between sincerity and manipulation. Still, they definitely do have plenty of soft corners.

In personal relationships, Lunar Pisceans are giving and yielding. They are generally open on a sexual level, in a quiet way. Their fantasies can be far-reaching, intricate, and rich with emotion. Love is closely tied in with their sexuality. Most Lunar Pisceans are shy; they need a trustworthy lover to bring them out.

There's a delightful accepting side to Moon in Pisces that is sometimes mistaken for weakness.. Since the Moon represents our instinctive nature, Moon in Pisces seems to know how things feel without actual experience. For example, they may have never had sex, but seem to know all about it -- even, or especially, the subtleties of it. The ones that aren't too shy make awesome actors and actresses. This ability to empathize even in the absence of experience gives them an open mind and heart. Most long to express this through writing, music (both listening and making), poetry, and art -- in fact, the happiest people with this position do just that.

Though some are doormats, most Pisces Moon people instinctively know when they're due for a much-needed recharge. It's at these times that they retreat from the world (and its harsh realities) if only to gather strength to face everything and everyone again. Solitude is important to them, but they also need people, so their retreats will usually be short-lived. Pisces Moon individuals believe; and, let's face it; the world needs Piscean leaps of faith.

Some Famous people with Moon in Pisces: Kirstie Alley, Gillian Anderson, Michael Bolton, Robert Browning, Hillary Clinton, Carson Daly, Robert DeNiro, Morgan Freeman, Sarah Michelle Gellar (Moon and Mars in Pisces), Rita Hayworth, Lauren Holly, Michael Jackson, Martin Luther King, Kevin Kline, Ricky Martin (Moon and Mars in Pisces), Michelangelo, Moby, Moliere (Moon, Venus, and Mars in Pisces), Bill Moyers, Robert Plant, Edgar Allen Poe, Elvis Presley, Jason Priestly, Prince, Judge Reinhold, Gene Rodenberry, Winona Ryder, Charles Schulz, Martin Scorcese, Jerry Seinfeld, Monica Seles, Alicia Silverstone, Ben Stiller, Debra Winger, Catherine Zeta-Jones.

Stars

Pisces contains few bright stars, and only one important object, the face on spiral galaxy M74. However, even though somewhat indistinct, this constellation can be easily made out with a bit of practice, as it is located to the south west of Andromeda and directly below the Great Square of Pegasus.

Despite its fame, its size, and its prominence as a zodiacal constellation, the stars of Pisces are largely disappointing. Alpha Piscium is a star otherwise known as Alrisha, 'the Cord', which represents the point where the two fishes' cords meet.

Alrisha is the not the brightest of Pisces' stars, though: that honor goes to Gamma Piscium, which lies in the westward 'fish'. This is an irregular hexagon of stars which, though dim, are recognizable by their characteristic shape. The northern fish is much less well defined, being a faint straggle of stars in the direction of Andromeda.

he constellation of "the fishes," Pisces is a group of faint stars representing two fish linked by a V-shaped chain. The group fits around the southwest corner of the constellation Pegasus. Although Pisces is regarded as the twelfth constellation of the zodiac, precession has brought the vernal equinox from Aries into Pisces, so that technically it is the first constellation. The Sun enters the sign of Pisces on February 21 and enters the constellation itself on March 11.

Mercury in Pisces

According to medieval astrologers, Mercury is both in detriment and fall in this sign, while according to Hellenistic astrologers Mercury is only in fall here. The medieval opinion means that Mercury is in an "enemy camp" and therefore is not supported in acting like its self. The fall means that mercurial issues have little merit before the cosmic court. This is one of the reasons Pisceans are thought to be so confused. What this means on an individual level is that their intellect often does not function in a straight foreword logical or analytical manner and may be chaotic at times. They may tend to misplace or lose objects and other people may find their motives perplexing. However, their intuition is stronger than most and often they can't explain why they know something, just that they know it. Their hunches often prove correct, but their everyday planning and reasoning is chaotic by most other people’s standards. They are often seen as being disorganized. It is probably best if they avoid fields that involve accounting or close attention to detail. However, this is a good position for those interested in psychology or human services, because of their ability to empathize and relate to others on a feeling level.

In a diurnal chart, the heat and dryness help to moderate the cold and wet effects of this place. This individual is better at analysis, record keeping and attention to detail than their nocturnal counterparts. However, intuition may be a little weaker.

In a nocturnal chart, the cold and wet qualities of night are unrestrained. This means that the native functions by metaphorical logic or holistic reasoning and tends to be less analytical. Intuition is very strong and they may be psychically sensitive.

Mercury in Pisces are gentle communicators with a soft touch that is pleasing and warm. Some of them come across in an almost poetic way. Not given to bother too much with details, these individuals tend to sponge up the feelings and moods of their environment. The information they extract from their surroundings can be unusual and certainly unique. For some, it is heavily skewed in the direction of emotion and feeling.

They're generally lovely listeners and, when they get them talking, warm conversationalists. When it comes to communicating, they're moody, and this extends to their letters and emails too. It's a kind of odd thing -- they never know when they'll be in a quiet mood or a yakking state. These individuals don't compete for air time, but they can talk up a storm when they're in the right frame of mind. Mercury in Pisces is tactful because they don't want to offend others in any way. They feel out their audience and sometimes search for what they think others want to hear. .

These people come across as dreamy and indirect. It can be hard to pin them down to any one belief or decision. It's not that they want to drive others crazy or anything -- it's just that Mercury in Pisces takes in so much information from the world and their open-mindedness prevents them from taking a stance for too long. They have an unusual aversion to cold facts and hard decisions. Driven more by intuition than facts, these people avoid list-making and the like. Others might think them disorganized but they have an uncanny knack of finding things nonetheless.

Mercury in Pisces people are often vague and indirect in their communications with others. If they learn to express themselves with more clarity, they'll find that a lot of the problems they can encounter with misunderstandings will lessen. Their impressionable nature can make them an easy target at times. Their plans may seem too dreamy and unrealistic to more practical sorts, lacking the details that make them seem more attainable. But Mercury in Pisces' vision is extraordinary, and their leaps of faith are admirable.

Some Famous People with Mercury in Pisces: Michael Bolton, Billy Crystal (Sun, Mercury, and Mars in Pisces), Elton John (Mercury and Mars in Pisces), Chaka Kahn, Lucy Lawless, Rob Reiner, Sharon Stone, Elizabeth Taylor, Justin Timberlake, John Travolta.

Venus in Pisces

Venus in Pisces people project themselves as dreamy, soft-hearted partners. Everything about the way they flirt promises a lovely time. Theirs is an elusive charm -- they are sweetly playful, a little moody, and perhaps a little irregular. They appreciate romance and poetry, and they prefer to "feel out" both for them and the relationship they share, so don't expect too much planning ahead. Their sensitivity can be a little misleading at times. Yes, they are sensitive folk, but lovers may find it maddening that this sensitivity is not only directed at them, but towards all of mankind.

Venus is in her exaltation while in this sign. This means that issues like love, relationships, compassion, beauty and art have greater merit before the cosmic court. These natives are often fortunate in matters of love and romance. They are artistically inclined with a gift for music and poetry. They are very sympathetic, sensitive, intuitive and understanding of others and have little difficulty in forgiving transgressions. They are attracted to beautiful surroundings and are often the object of affection of many. If they are not involved romantically with anyone, they may feel more lonely than most, as these individuals are not used to going it alone. Socially, they are very popular and sometimes they may have trouble in limiting the crowd and retaining their privacy. If this place is the 11th sign from the lot of fortune, they are exceedingly lucky in love and it is also extremely beneficial financially. Since this is a prolific sign, if the lot of children falls here or this sign is the 4th, 5th, 10th or 11th sign from the ascendant, then it is indicative of having many children and being blessed by them.

Venus in Pisces men and women want others to know that their love is unconditional. They are unimpressed by status and love and accept them for all that they are inside. They love the underdog and are attracted to wayward folks, or those in need of a little help. With their romantic view of the world, they can be unreasonably attracted to states of suffering and martyrdom, so they easily get into the role of saving someone, or being saved. Unlike Venus in Libra, which thrives on equality, Venus in Pisces is actually turned on by inequality! They can be rather confusing and hard to pin down as they feel their way through their relationships. As much as they may want to, they find it hard to commit. Many do end up committing, however, at least on the surface.

Pleasing Venus in Pisces involves enjoying tender moments and romantic times with them. humans can get.

In a diurnal chart, the heat and dryness of the day work against the cool and moist nature of Venus. There is moderation to their sensitivity and compassion. While they are more outgoing socially, they are also more likely to keep some individuals at arms length. Love may have a slightly less romantic quality.

In a nocturnal chart, the cool and moist of night amplify these same qualities in Venus. These individuals are exceedingly sensitive, intuitive, romantic and artistic. They are less socially outgoing, but usually have no trouble attracting romantic partners. If afflicted, they may have more trouble keeping undesirable people out of their life than most.

Some Famous People with Venus in Pisces: Drew Barrymore (Sun and Venus in Pisces), Nick Carter, George Harrison, Lucy Lawless, Moliere (Moon, Venus, and Mars in Pisces), Michelle Pfeiffer (both Venus and Mars in Pisces), Tom Selleck, John Travolta, Vincent Van Gogh (Venus and Mars in Pisces).

Mars in Pisces

Mild-tempered and gentle, these guys and gals move through life in a manner that can hardly be considered direct. Mars is the planet of action and assertion, and Pisces is a passive sign that rarely asserts itself in a direct fashion. So the placement of Mars in Pisces is an unusual combination. Sometimes prone to feelings of guilt about their anger, and difficulties with asserting themselves, Mars in Pisces individuals seem to "go with the flow". This is certainly not a very active position for Mars, and natives will often let life "happen" instead of trying to control their life direction. This is a charming position, as individuals with Mars in Pisces don't appear like they are capable of harming a fly. However, those that don't find creative expression for this energy can stir up a storm through indirect aggression.

Mars is in aversion to its Aries domicile here being in the 12th sign from it. This has the effect of inhibiting spontaneous action and forthrightness of motivation. There is the hint that agnoia is present (because Saturn's joy is in the 12th) with regard to motivations meaning that the native may not be very aware of what drives him/her. Because the 12th represents the unconscious, and Mars is full of energy, they are often restless and find it hard to release their energy directly. This often leads to indecision where there are two or more opposing viewpoints. Some may dislike competition. However, if they are consciously aware of their intentions, they can be quite adept at hiding their motivations from others. Despite the restlessness associated with this energy, they are often careful of how they express it because it is also the 5th sign from its other domicile, Scorpio. This is a fairly good position for those involved in covert operations like spying or for investigators of crime or the paranormal. They may be talented in more fluid martial arts styles like Tai Chi. According to Ptolemy, Mars is in its own trigon for both day and night while in this sign and is therefore essentially dignified.

In a diurnal chart, the heat and dryness of the day make it more difficult for the impulses of Mars to be contained. This should theoretically increase the restlessness or carelessness of the natives actions indicating a lack of forethought and motivational awareness. There may be a tendency to overreact to emotional stimuli.

In a nocturnal chart, the cool and moist of night help mitigate the impulses of Mars. This is better for decision-making processes and self-control. Restlessness should be less of a problem theoretically. Physically they may be more coordinated favoring fluid, graceful movements, but with afflictions they may become lethargic.

Mars in Pisces people are not averse to playing games to get what they want, although even they don't always know exactly what they do want! Their desires are changeable and moody, and it's hard to really know where these natives stand on any particular issue. Alternatively, some Mars in Pisces people do take a stand on issues that are Piscean in nature, making compassion and love their mission.

Energy levels fluctuate a lot, coming in bursts of activity followed by inertia. Because it can be difficult to align this ebbing and flowing of energy in the day-to-day world as it is, finding a job that supports this may be tough. The happiest Mars in Pisces individuals are those that have a creative outlet that allow them to express their desires of the moment, their compassion -- and even their anger -- freely and imaginatively. An example of Mars in Pisces is Bono, lead singer of U2, who seems to have found the perfect outlet for his creativity through his music, and as a spokesperson for love and compassion.

Some Famous People with Mars in Pisces: Dido Armstrong, Bono, Billy Crystal (Sun, Mercury, and Mars in Pisces), Sarah Michelle Gellar (Moon and Mars in Pisces), Tom Hanks, Elton John (Mercury and Mars in Pisces), Annie Lennox, Rob Lowe, Ricky Martin (Moon and Mars in Pisces), Moliere (Moon, Venus, and Mars in Pisces), Marilyn Monroe, Rob Reiner, John Steinbeck, Elizabeth Taylor, Vincent Van Gogh (Venus and Mars in Pisces).

Jupiter in Pisces

Jupiter is in his own domicile here and is therefore essentially dignified by house. This means that Jupiter can speak on its own behalf for the native concerning things like faith, justice, benevolence, etc - These individuals tend to be easy-going and laid back. They are very sympathetic to those less fortunate than themselves and often desire to help. They are generally very fortunate themselves so they can end up trying to help a lot of people and stretch themselves too thin. They tend to have great faith in the goodness of human nature and may turn a blind eye to the underbelly of the world. This can be their undoing because they can be easily taken advantage of. Their friendliness and love of animals makes them very popular and they would make good veterinarians. Because this place is watery, they may need to watch their weight, especially if Sagittarius or Pisces rises.

In a diurnal chart, the heat and dryness of the day help to dry up some of the wetness of this place. They usually have a more realistic view of the character of those around them. They are not as easily moved to acts of compassion as their nocturnal counterparts, but seek to help fairly. Theoretically, weight gain should be less of a problem.

In a nocturnal chart, the cool and moist of night add the wetness of this place showing that there is lack of distinction for which this individual is sympathetic to. They are more easily swayed by emotion and appeals to charity and can be more easily taken advantage of as a result. Theoretically the coldness slows the metabolism making weight gain more of an issue.

Saturn in Pisces

Here the principle of agnoia often causes the native to forget that they are a part of the human family. This represents the test of compassion of which the ultimate example is whether they will lay down their own life for their fellow man. In most nativities, this extreme is never reached, but frequently they are somehow put into situations that obligate them to take care of those less fortunate at a sacrifice to their own well being. On another level, these individuals often have a hard time maintaining structure and routine. Their lives may stagnate to the point that they may be tempted to withdraw and live the life of a hermit. It can also represent a test of faith because Saturn essentially says that there is nothing beyond itself and what is physically real, or in the words of Descartes, that there is nothing real but extension. However, Pisces hints at what is beyond because it is the last of the signs and signifies reintegration into the collective. In contrast to the easy going nature of Jupiter here, this individual tends to take life too seriously and lacks a sense of humor. They may tend to suffer from depression and indulge themselves in self-pity. They may be allergic to pets.

In a diurnal chart, the heat of the day helps to minimize the coldness of Saturn and the dryness helps to make distinct their obligations to those less fortunate. This is a good position for those who would work in mental institutions or hospitals and allows the setting of limits as to how much personal sacrifice the native will have to endure.

In a nocturnal chart, the cold and wet of night intensify the coldness of Saturn. The distinctions are less clear in their obligations to those less fortunate than their self and at times it seems like there is no end to it. Some react to this by refusing to be of any help. Depression and doubt may be a frequent problem if there are no mitigating factors.

Uranus in Pisces

Uranus was last in this sign between 1919 and 1927 and will be there again between 2003 and 2011. The changeable nature of Uranus agrees well with the mutable/bicorporal quality of this place, but the extreme dryness of Uranus does not agree well with the cold and wet nature of Pisces. This has the effect of slowing down transitions, submerging rebellions into the underground and creating passive resistance. it was during this time that Gandhi first led his passive resistance movement to free India from the British. It is also interesting that during this time prohibition became law in the USA (Pisces = alcohol), but was widely ignored and resisted covertly. There will likely be many more surprising discoveries in oceanography. Remote vacation spots may become more popular. Technology will become more common place in third world nations. Those of this generation born with Uranus in high focus here may follow the example of Gandhi as a leader in passive or underground resistance to authority. They will have to find a balance between personal freedom, and personal sacrifice.

In a diurnal chart, the heat and dryness of the day strengthen Uranus's hot and dry nature. These individuals will tend to value personal freedom over sacrifice. They are likely to be more rebellious as a result, but in a subtle, more passive way.

In a nocturnal chart, the cold and moist of night counteract the hot and dry nature of Uranus. As a result, these individuals are less likely to value personal freedom or are more willing to sacrifice it for the greater good. In some cases it may be that they lack the spirit to fight for freedom even though they value it.

Neptune in Pisces

Neptune was last in Pisces between 1847 and 1861 and will re-enter Pisces in 2012. Neptune blends in very well here and some consider it to be dignified by being in its own sign. During this time, slavery was coming to an end and many slaves were escaping to freedom through the Underground Railroad. A new form of art called impressionism became popular through the works of Monet and Cezanne and many people chased their dreams of wealth during the gold rush. In general, those born during this time will have high philosophical and moral ideals. It is not usually profound in a physical sense but very much so in a spiritual sense.

They can be very idealistic and if Neptune is brought into high focus while in this sign then these natives will be inspired. However, without some grounding in earth, they will tend not to be very practical and may find it hard to make the vision a reality. This combination is indicative of spiritual and philosophical breakthroughs such as existentialism. It is interesting that the next transit of Neptune here will coincide with the end of the Mayan calendar.

In a diurnal chart, the heat and dryness of the day counteract the cold and wet nature of Neptune. This may cause it to be less of an issue in the chart by taking away Neptune's propensity for inspiration, but while functioning under the principle of limitation, the native may find that they are more able to make practical use of Neptune's energy.

In a nocturnal chart, the cold and wet of night amplify these same qualities in Neptune. Theoretically, this should create greater spiritual insights, but with the principle of limitlessness in operation, the native may find it more difficult to find support for a firm foundation for their insights.

Pluto in Pisces

Pluto was last in Pisces between 1798 and 1823 and will re-enter in 2043. Pluto often has to do lessons related to power, death and renewal of life and when Pluto is here, these lessons are idealized. In the early 1800's Napoleon followed his dream of building a new Roman Empire. In a sense this was a time of reliving the glory days of the past. Historians have since referred to this as the romantic period. It is interesting that Pluto was in the 5th place from its own sign while in Pisces and that the 5th has to do with romance, but because this is a transpersonal planet, the "romance" was made impersonal. Individuals with Pluto in close aspect or conjunction to inner planets here will be very charismatic and powerful in their expression.

Astrology

Pisces is an astrological sign, which is associated with the constellation Pisces. Under the tropical zodiac, Pisces is occupied by the Sun from February 21 to March 20, and under the sidereal zodiac, it is currently from March 15 to April 13. The opposite sign to Pisces is Virgo.

The sun: In Pisces - Pearl merchant, peaceful, wealthy, uneventful, religious, prodigal, loved by women.

In astrology, the Sun stands for their inner nature, the true mark of their character. The twelfth sign of the Zodiac, Pisces is ruled by fortunate Jupiter and new age Neptune. A mutable (changeable and communicative) sign, dreamy Pisces is the exaltation of Venus, the goddess of love and artistic sensibility. It is a water sign, so Piscean people are creative, sensitive and deeper than they appear on the surface, although they can be emotionally vulnerable, clinging and rather melancholic.

Pisces contains that point in the sky occupied by the Sun during Vernal Equinox, the day on which the hours of daylight and night are equal, which falls about March 20.  So Pisces claims the number one position of importance among the twelve constellations of the Zodiac

The light of the Sun, ruler of our inner nature, is somewhat dimmed in Pisces, the home of Jupiter (lord of the gods) and his elusive brother Neptune (the king of the sea). Jupiter gives them a thirst for knowledge and understanding, with a natural lucky streak. Neptune brings out their sensitive and spiritual qualities, but it can also lay them open to deception and intrigue (that is if it's not they who is doing the deceiving!). They have probably noticed that Neptune can stimulate a thirst of a quite different variety -- a thirst for liquor, drugs and addictive substances in general (including the addictions of love -). Both of these great planets influence their personality.

Pisces is the twelfth and last sign of the Zodiac and associated with human emotions. Individuals born under this sign are thought to have a dreamy, romantic, generous, emotional, receptive, affectionate and honest character but one which is also prone to exaggeration, fickleness, passiveness, hypersensitivity and paranoia.

Mythology

The constellation of Pisces appears as a fish swimming in the waters that pour from Aquarius. In Babylonian times, this star formation was associated with the gods Oannes and Dagon. These were water deities in the form of fish. Also in this constellation is the Leash, upon which were tied the two fish goddesses, Anunitum and Simmah.

In Greek mythology, Pisces is associated with the great beast Typhon. This fearsome creature belonged to the earlier age of the Titans, and was a terrifying force even for the greatest of the gods.

At one time Typhon attacked Mount Olympus, the abode of the gods. To escape from his wrath, each deity took the form of an animal. Zeus himself, shifted into the likeness of a ram. Aphrodite, and her son Eros, escaped the beast by transforming into a pair of fish and swam away into the Euphrates River. The goddess Minerva placed the image of the fishes in the heavens so that the event would not be forgotten.

The constellation resembles two roundish objects, each of which is tied to the same point by a long length of string. Generally the objects have been considered as fish, although since by including fainter stars visible to the naked eye, the strings themselves take on the appearance of stick-figure bodies (with the roundish objects thus becoming heads). Some forms of early Greek mythology viewed it as men bound to a point. It is generally thought that in earlier depictions, only the constellation Piscis Austrinus was considered to be a fish.

According to one version in Greek mythology, this constellation represents fish into which Aphrodite and her son Eros transformed in order to escape the monstrous Typhon. The two fishes are often depicted tied together with a cord (or their tails), to make sure they do not lose one another.

According to another version, since the binding point is below the ecliptic, and thus considered to represent being in the underworld, and that one of the figures (the one on the left) appears to escape, but the other (on the right) seems to head back toward the ecliptic, then, together with Cetus (another constellation in the Zodiac sign of Pisces), this may have formed the basis of the myth of the capture of Cerberus, one of The Twelve Labors of Heracles.

According to Greek myth, there was a monstrous god named Typhon, who was determined to overthrow Zeus and his entire group of gods.  So terrifying and powerful was the evil god that he caused the immortal followers of Zeus to flee into Egypt in exile.  Zeus alone remained behind to do battle and eventually conquer Typhon.  One day Aphrodite and her son Eros were walking along a riverbank when they sensed the presence of the monstrous god Typhon.  Quickly they plunged into the river where they took the form of fishes and escaped.  To this day they are known as the Northern Fish and the Western Fish of Pisces.

Pisces was known by the Babylonians as Nunu, by the Persians as Mahik, and the Turks as Balik, all meaning "Fish".

The Arabs also knew Pisces as Al Samakatain, or "the Two Fishes".

The Syrians regarded fish as holy animals and so refused to eat them.

The Chinese called Pisces at various times the Dark Warrior, the Northern Emperor, and the Pig.  But after missionaries were established in that country the constellation became known popularly as the Two Fishes.

A German story illustrates the wealth-giving power of fishes and points out a moral for greedy humans. This story describes how Antenteh and his wife lived in very poor circumstances in a cabin by the sea. Their only possessions were a crude cabin and a tub. They had filled the tub with down and feathers from swans and geese so that they might, at least, have a place to sit and rest. One day Antenteh caught a fish, which pulled and tugged so vehemently at the net that he decided to let the fish go back to the sea again. To the amazement of Antenteh, the fish started to speak to him.

The fish told Antenteh that he was an enchanted prince and, in return for his release, Antenteh could ask for anything he desired. But Antenteh was a simple soul and felt so honoured at having rescued a person of such nobility that he would not accept anything. However, when his wife heard the story, she became extremely angry with him for letting such an opportunity pass. She nagged Antenteh until he went back to the shore, where he called for the fish, who instantly came swimming towards him. Rather embarrassed, Antenteh told the fish of his wife's wish for a house with furniture in it. The fish told him to leave everything to him and to return to his cabin. Antenteh did so where, instead of his cabin, he found a splendid house.

If Antenteh's wife had not been so greedy, all might have ended well, but after a while she wanted more. She wished to be a queen and have a palace. Her wish was granted. Still not satisfied, she demanded to become a goddess. And that was the end of it all. The fish was furious at the insatiable desires of this woman. With one flip of his mighty tail he made everything Antenteh had been given disappear, and in its place there stood again the tub with feathers in the little cabin by the sea. A warning for those who have plenty, not to dare the gods and be too greedy!

Their sign's element is Water. Pisces is ruled by the planet Neptune

Pisces is ruled by the Planets Jupiter and Neptune. The pairing of these two heavenly bodies results in some unique energies being directed toward Pisceans here on Earth. Those born under this Sign are spiritually oriented and charitable. They are compassionate, easily feeling another's pain. At times, however, Pisceans can have difficulty distinguishing fact from fantasy: they tend to get caught up in their dreams and views of how things should be. Pisceans who fear that their pleas aren't being heard tend to lapse into melancholy and, worse, the kind of pessimism, which leads to procrastination and lethargy. At times like this, Pisceans are well served to take some time for themselves. Many Pisceans also immerse themselves in the arts and other creative pursuits as a centering mechanism, and they are quite talented in these areas.

The Element associated with Pisces is Water. Those born under this Sign easily relate to the emotional and unpredictable nature of this liquid gold. Pisceans feel a great deal, and they also feel misunderstood much of the time. They're not quite pushovers, but they're certainly sensitive. Yes, they could cry them a river if the circumstances were right. Even so, they revel in their compassionate and imaginative natures and love to cater to others. They can also be quite romantic, dreaming up delicious treats for their lover. Pisceans are generally gentle, easy-going folk, who are on the shy and reticent side. They are modest to the point of impracticality, often stepping up only to show their talents in painting or music. Easiest for the Fish is living in their lush dream world.

Pisces Greatest Strength: Their compassion for those in need.

Pisces Possible Weakness: Confusion can put they at a disadvantage.

General Character

Being the 12th sign of the Zodiac, Pisces is considered by far the most evolved of all the signs and represents the highest stage in the evolution of the human soul. It's at this point that the soul is able to transcend the ego fully and to fulfill its true purpose, which is selflessness, true Universal love and cosmic awareness.

The sign of Pisces, being represented by the fish swimming in different directions, adequately describes the inner ambivalence of their nature. They are not an easy person to understand and though their compassion and desire to care for others is notable, at times they shoot themselves in the foot and become a victim of the very people they are trying to help. They must learn the lessons of balance and discrimination in their choice of their would-be recipients. Could it be that on many occasions the help they extend to others simply results in strengthening their martyr complex?

Intuition which is strong in their case, must necessarily be balanced with a pragmatic view of life and a carefully executed plan in the real world. The strong psychic impressions which so easily flow through them may disturb their practical life and make inner fulfillment a difficult thing. If they can master these subtle forces they will be of great benefit in areas of healing, medicine and social welfare.

Two fish are associated with their Zodiac Sign. They are generous, caring, and kind. However, they tend to be more concerned about other people's problems than their own. They are not a decisive person and may change their mind many times. They are also a follower, but they do not always choose good leaders. Because of their good qualities, they are popular with many types of people, but when they are secretive they drive these friends away. Weak concentration skills can get them into trouble at school.

Pisces belong to the watery sign ruled by two planets Jupiter and Neptune. It is symbolized by two fishes in the opposite direction. They have dual nature. They often intend to do a thing but they end up doing the other. They are gifted with wide visionary powers and they are capable of conceiving grand schemes. When it comes to executing them they become timid and loose confidence. They are very romantic, kind hearted and emotional. They lack stability and will power. They need constant reminders and encouragement. Their vacillating nature makes them take up projects and abandon it later. Pisces are fond of comfort and quiet life. They find excuses for shrinking away from duties. They are very fond of children and animals. They are superstitious but if given a chance they turn out to be good psychic investigators and psychiatrists.

Water sign ruled by Jupiter and Neptune. Pisceans are subtle, patient, sweet and tolerant. However, they can be also touchy and treacherous. Their typical features are a complex character, a great fantasy and an extraordinary learning ability. They are irresolute and they are not keen in organizing, so that they prefer to be led by other people, both in private and in working life.

Typical jobs are: football player, nurse, medium, mechanic and photographer. They have a strong religious feeling and artistic sensibility. Being so reserved, it is not easy to know and understand them thoroughly. Friendship and true and long-lasting love are for Pisceans extremely important.

As a friend

They may seem to be wandering about in their own little world sometimes, but Pisces is one of the most caring friends they'll ever have. This Water Sign has emotions to spare, so prepare themselves for long evenings of heart-to-heart talks. This friend will truly want to know the real them, and they'll probably be able to pick up on how they're feeling no matter what they tell them. They're a great friend when they're in need. If nothing else, they'll have an open ear for their troubles and a handy box of tissues for their tears. Watch out, though. Pisces can be easily manipulated, and their feelings can be hurt by the slightest misguided comment. What they need is for they, as their friend, to reassure them and help them past their insecurities. They will always be open with their emotions, so the biggest favor they can do for them is to return that trust by revealing then self. They'll never be bored with their creative Pisces pal if they just keep an open mind and let them whisk them away into their world for a while.

Pisces will go out of their way to help a friend. They are extremely sensitive and loyal. They will take a friend's problem and make it their own and suffer with them. This is the weak spot of Pisces but any friend of this zodiac sign should know that although they are attracted to people with severe problems who desperately need help, this actually does more harm them good. Even though Pisces will offer to make everything right, do not allow them to take on all their problems because they will lose their identity in their situation. They need a strong positive friend to make them strong. Pisces like adventure, new situation and social events. A Pisces friend will always have something exciting in mind and it is a very fulfilling, long lasting friendship.

As a Women

Physical Appearance - Generally, Piscean women are seen to be not very tall and plumpy The eyes are quite big and protruding. Hands and feet are either strikingly beautiful or else out proportioned, big and bulky. The shoulders are muscular and spherical.

Mental Attitude - They are philosophical, restless and honest. They can go beyond their means to help people in need. Not perturbed easily, they can help even their opponents calm down by their gentle behavior. Their nature is to forgive and forget.

General Nature - Their mind is not very steady. It often wanders from spiritualism to materialism. This reduces their concentration thereby making it difficult to achieve their full potential. A Piscean woman may also lack in self-confidence. However that does not deter her from being an expert planner. They will aim very high and can develop right connections to achieve their aims. Generally, Pisceans develop good connections that they encase at the right time.

They are either at the top of the ladder or else at the bottom of it. Generally, Pisceans being too ambitious either rise to very high positions or else turn into dreamers and are unable to fight the battle of life. They will have a strong wish to go to foreign lands and visit beautiful places.

Health - They may be drawn towards excesses that means they may be eating and drinking in excess, making them ill. They may suffer from varicose veins or guinea worms. Problems connected with lever, ankles and feet are possible. They should take care of them.

Money - Generous by nature and ever helping their friends, they are unable to save much. Though due to their mental capacity, which is far in excess of women of other signs, they have a high income level. They will not like to depend on anyone for finances and they are wiling to do even extra work to keep their self financially secure.

Romance And Sex Life - Very romantic by nature, they dream of romance. However they may feel somewhat frustrated as the dreams seldom come true in actual life. They are very suspicious, they will keep a tab on their lover and if they see him friendly with another woman they feel the pinch.

They are loyal and once they form a relationship, they continue it for a long time though sometimes they may feel a sudden loss of interest in their partner. Many a time, Piscean women can carry two or more relationships simultaneously. Having a basically shy nature, they are not the one who will make a move themselves in love life. They will expect their lover to make all the moves and they will only react to them.

But, sometimes they can act completely differently. With deception, they can easily control their men with their superior brain and use them for their purposes.  Any foreplay involving water will turn they on, feet are their hot spots.

Marriage - They will dream of marrying a Mr. Perfect and they will want him to have all the qualities possible in a husband. But they will not be working hard to get him. Thus, chances of delay in marriage or a marriage, which will not work, are not ruled out. They will require a very diplomatic and well mannered husband to stay on.

Piscean woman keeps good upkeep of her house. Being fond of food and drinks they will stock them well for guests also.  For a stable married love life, they should check their dreamy nature and live in practical world.

Caution: Having very high desires, dreams and a changeable nature are their worst problems. They should live in the practical world and be less utopian if they want to be successful.

As a Baby

Seeming like a bit of a lost soul, the Pisces baby will get emotional and start crying for no apparent reason. It's part of this timid baby's personality, along with a tendency to carry things inward and not push them out. Expect a whimper rather than a shriek. Along these lines, the Pisces baby will pick up on the family's vibe, sensing arguments and other familial disruptions, and being profoundly affected by them. This fits in with this child's very caring, almost selfless persona, a quality which manifests it in things like giving away toys. For this reason, Mom and Dad need to see to it that their Pisces tot doesn't get pushed around in the play group.

Extra-sensitive by nature, this child also benefits from an added dose of attention, whether it comes from parents or sibs. With a wandering mind (this is the sign of the dreamer; after all!), the Pisces baby will find it easy to get lost in thoughts, almost blocking out the real world. Safe to say that this kid shouldn't be entrusted with many details- they will simply forget them! That dream state is one, which should be monitored at night, as the Pisces baby will be greatly distressed by bad dreams.

To sum up, the Pisces baby would rather give than receive, is dreamy by nature, and possesses the fluidity attached to a Water sign. Let this sweet river flow!

Positive Qualities

Extreme sensitivity to the point of being empathic. Compassionate, intuitive  selfless or self-sacrificing devotion, capable of unconditional love for others. Artistic, kind, sympathetic, intuitive, visionary, mysterious, adaptive, psychic, receptive.

Joie de vivre. Joy of life. They are the most free-spirited sign of all, and the most aware of experiencing all that life has to offer, right here right now. Those two fish in their hieroglyph are the only truly happy symbols in the zodiac, and so they too are naturally carefree and playful.

Their imagination is the most fertile of all the zodiac signs as well. Others can rely on them to dazzle them with their flights of fancy, either with words or visuals. There are more poets in their sign than in any other. They're the artists of the zodiac, and the list of famous Piscean creators proves it.

They also have an immense sense of sympathy for others. If someone near them is in pain, they feel it just as intensely. They simply have to lend their help and understanding because their world is not right until they help cure it. For this, they are prized as a friend.

As the twelfth sign of the zodiac, they are considered to be on the highest spiritual plane, and so they are naturally more intuitive than all other signs -- perhaps even psychic. They're on a quest for spiritual peace -- in their mind it's the ultimate calling of mankind, and they'll probably spend their life trying to attain it. They certainly have the best chance of finding it.

Negative Qualities

Can be a victim or a martyr. May become blinded by illusion and confusion and can be too imaginative for their own good. Impractical, vague, careless, spiteful, manipulative, gullible, depressive, introverted, unworldly, weak-willed, indecisive, easily led astray, greedy, immoral.

They are sensitive to a fault. The slightest out-of-earshot whisper or behind-the-back rumor will floor them. They're a water sign, but unlike the other two -- Cancer and Scorpio -- they have no outer shell to protect them. So instead, they swim away. Their defense is to hide, either shutting themselves off in a room or, if that's not possible, withdrawing mentally into their potent imagination. This is how they write most of their poetry, or paint their most passionate pieces -- in a highly-charged, defensive emotional state that's often triggered by an overheard comment or casual criticism.

Their other defense mechanism is to disappear. They have the uncanny ability to quietly metamorphosis into the walls, becoming unapproachable and therefore reasonably invisible to anyone else in the vicinity.

Both of these reactions, obviously, are dangerously anti-social. If channeled creatively, they can be quite therapeutic, but if not, they need a strong balancing force -- either a mate or close friend with a strong foundation, or even therapy.

This state can also lead to an over abuse of drugs or alcohol. They don't have the constitution, either physically or emotionally, to withstand their affects, and they become addicted easily. They tend to resort to them much too quickly, and the problem just worsens from there.

On a more practical level, they tend to lack self-discipline. Some would say they're just plain lazy, but it's more that they're not interested in mundane facts or routines. They're so involved in their imaginative world that things like bills and responsibilities are a lesser priority. Here again, they need the balance of a mate who is business-minded and pragmatic.

Finally, they have a hard time making up their mind about anything. They are a wonderful adapter, a chameleon even -- if they're interested in someone who is passionate about, say, gardening, they immediately will learn everything there is to know about gardening, so they can enjoy it with them. Most of the time, though, they'll find that interesting soon they'll lose interest and something else will fascinate them. That's okay, as long as those around them understand and appreciate their free-spirited playfulness.

Physical Qualities and Activities

They are not known for their size. In fact, most Pisceans are quite frail and soft -- not necessarily overweight, but just not muscular or firm in any sense.

As with their tendency towards alcohol and drug abuse, they tend to rely on medicines a bit too much, because their body does not have the constitution to fight oft annoying viruses as well as it should. But they may find that more natural treatments suit them better, and the holistic sciences in general satisfy their desire to exist on a higher spiritual plane.

They are not an athlete, but they love to move gracefully. Because Pisces is associated with the feet and movement, many of the world's great ballet dancers -- Nijinsky and Nureyev, for example -- are Pisceans. They also enjoy swimming, because it's both a water activity and a graceful way to move.

Interestingly, they probably are also fascinated by movies. Film and photography are very Piscean activities. Emotionally, they are extremely sensitive, just like film. They pick up everything, so this enables they to understand film -- and especially film that moves -- deeply.

Pisces doesn’t play to win. The needs of the team are going to come first for this sensitive Sign. Team spirit is important to them, especially if they manage to make connections through the team. Throwing them self into strenuous activity is probably not their idea of a good time. Their fitness routine is likely to be a laid back one; they may prefer fishing to flexing, diving to dodge ball. Water is, of course, important to the fish, so they would do well with water polo or sailing. Fun, interactive games like football could also be high on their list. Watch out for their feet; they should be careful not to stub their toes or break any of the other tiny bones found there.

Physical appearance

The Pisces native is short, stout, innocent looking, virtuous and lucky. They are famous and heads an organization or society. They studies very hard but without concentration on syllabus - thus they are not a high scorer. They has an ability to make tough tasks look simple. They tends to help friends and serve society physically but without spending money. They tends work overtime to finish the work same day. By virtue of his intellect and helping nature, they becomes favorite of family members and outsiders. They just cannot work under any one and leave their service very soon for own business. They tends to lose temper beyond control but calms down very quickly. They are prone to cheating by partners and should better work alone. They are likely to break first marital relation - matured or otherwise, be unhappy with wife but happy with progeny.

Beauty - As a Pisces, they spend much time staring off into space, daydreaming of love and happiness. It’s not necessarily all lace and butterflies, though, Pisces (though they probably had a hard time resisting those fluttery butterfly hairclips, right?). There’s more to this moony and Mutable Water Sign than daydreams.

Just because they’re so flexible and chameleon-like, so fluid and wistful, does not mean they’re wishy-washy – leave that to Libra! Within each Pisces, there lies a resolute optimism, a nearly psychic intuition and a fertile imagination that allows them to appreciate the mysteries of life.

When it comes to physical beauty, they are unconventional, a risk-taker motivated by subconscious visions and ethereal longings. Not one to follow trends, they strike out on their own in defense of their independent spirit. They loathe conformity, but despite their rebellion, people can’t help but be attracted to them!

Their beauty comes from their open heart, their belief in the goodness of others, their sympathetic nature and the way they never shy away from saying how they feel.

Personality

This is the mutable water sign. Piscean energy is the most fluid and watery of all. People born under this sign are sensitive, dreamy and mystical. Unlike the two other water energies, Scorpio and Cancer, Pisces energy has no hard shell. The Pisces emotions are pure and simple. These people go with the flow, giving it an easiness, and oneness with nature. They prefer to follow rather than lead. Piscean energy is unworldly, imaginative and mystical.

This idealistic, dreamy, kind and impractical sign needs a lot of understanding. They have a fractured personality, which has so many sides and so many moods that they probably don't even understand themselves. Nobody is more kind, thoughtful and caring but they have a tendency to drift away from people and responsibilities. When the going gets rough, they get going!

Being creative, clever and resourceful, these people can achieve a great deal and really reach the top but few of them do. Some Pisceans have a self-destruct button, which they press before reaching their goal. Others do achieve success and the motivating force behind this essentially spiritual and mystical sign is often money. Many Pisceans feel insecure, most suffer some experience of poverty at some time in their early lives and they grow into adulthood determined that they will never feel that kind of uncertainty again.

They are emotional, ultra-sensitive, easy going, self sacrificing, sympathetic, understanding, and sociable. Pisces is an excellent host or hostess. Pisces finds it hard to make decisions because they see all sides to the question. Worry plagues them. They are merciful, obliging, charitable, artistic, with a good sense of color. Pisces will see only the good in others.

Pisceans are at home in any kind of creative or caring career. Many can be found in teaching, nursing and the arts. Some find life hard and are often unhappy; many have to make tremendous sacrifices on behalf of others. This may be a pattern, which repeats itself from childhood, where the message is that the Piscean's needs always come last.

Romance

The Sign of the Fish rules the House of the Unconscious, which says a lot about the world that Pisceans live in. A dreamy state is very attractive to these people - one in which they can hide some delicious secrets from their lover, only to spring them upon them at the right moment. The Fish enjoys alternating between conscious and unconscious states, the better to develop a romance in their vivid minds. When it's back to earth, Pisceans are selfless and intuitive - they love to serve their lover. Showering a partner with exquisite fantasies and other sweet things becomes a blissful state for both. The emotions of the Fish run deep and can be rather erotic if their lover knows how to release them. Those born under this Water Sign can flow like a river; they have a sensitive and spiritual nature, which can be truly alluring.

They enjoy good relations with members of the opposite sex. They also enjoy them. But they should play safe when they are not sure. Relationships could be very volatile so it is better to keep things under control. They tend to have too many love affairs so they are advised to control themselves. Too much of a good thing can be upsetting. Do not try to show off too much as they can get turned off. Do not go beyond limits when it is not necessary. Maintaining a balance is good for them

Whoever coined the term “dream lover” must have been thinking of Pisces, for these folks often have their head in the clouds, playing with this fantasy or that. Truth be told, can there be a better place for romance? Once back to Earth, the shy Fish will pursue affairs of the heart slowly, carefully and prettily, their aesthetic sensibilities as finely tuned as any sign of the Zodiac. The magical mystery tour of romance with Pisces can be most unpredictable, with hearts and flowers one day and games with veils the next. Either way, they will definitely serve their lover, for this is something, which brings them great joy.

Love and Relation

As many variants, as fish in the sea. Love horoscope Pisces sets a wide range of characters: from Don Juan, a shark in the ocean of love, to a silently suffering victim of passions.

A Pisces woman may also be different: romantic, mystic, brutal or kind and faithful, who seems too good to be real.

Pisces may adore their “divine creature” without opening their heart and revealing their feelings. This imaginary love may be an important part of their life. They may be head over heels in love or not to love at all, this may be a paradise of a hell.

There is no more complicated heart than that of Pisces. It is kind, enigmatic, broad and inscrutable like the sea. It’s full of various impulses. Love comes secretly and grows insensibly. it’s difficult to define when it began and when ended. Pisces pretend to be indifferent but it means that they want to hide their reserve. In fact, they are afraid to be tied up for a long time. They are able to sustain platonic long-term relations and pursuit towards an ideal image of their beloved, created in their mind. But sometimes they prove to be extremely passionate, their sensuality is strong and catching.

Unselfish submission defines love for the Piscean, who gains more pleasure from giving than from receiving. They often succumb to temptation, and float from one partner to another. In this way, or by refusing any partners, they avoid become hooked by deep emotional commitment. Those who refuse both these directions and take a middle way are richly awarded.

These people can be stubborn, awkward, selfish and quite nasty when a friendship or relationship goes sour. This is because, despite their basically kind and gentle personality, there is a side which needs to be in charge of any relationship. Pisceans make extremely faithful partners as long as the romance doesn't evaporate and their partners treat them well. Problems occur if they are mistreated or rejected, if they become bored or restless of if their alcohol intake climbs over the danger level. The Piscean lover is a sexual fantasist, so in this sphere of life, anything can happen.

Very romantic and sensitive - they love to be in a stable relationship, loyal in relationships up to a point, but are capable of ending a relationship at an instant.

They are sensitive and soak up the emotions around them and have to be careful to avoid negative situations. Experience tells them how to look after themselves. Because they exist on a high spiritual plane, finding a compatible mate can be challenging. It is necessary, though, because their feelings are so deep and intense that it would be unthinkable for them to exist without it. Not only that, but the right mate can also provide the pragmatic strength and common sense that they so desperately need to help organize their life, since they spend all of their time creating and experiencing the gamut of their emotions.

That ideal mate is their zodiacal opposite, Virgo, as long as it's a Virgo who is expected to a more sensitive degree -- i.e., one that understands their depth of feeling and appreciates their creative world. In return, they get a devoted care-giver, a smart, sensible bill-payer, and hopefully, one that can inspire them to success with his or her ideals, as opposed to tearing them down with harsh criticism. If they're selective, it will work wonderfully. Their secondary partnerships are with their water-sign relatives, Cancer and Scorpio. The former will understand their deep emotional nature, and support they with his or her strength -- that outer shell. The latter will attract them immediately, and vice-versa, but has a strong chance of wandering off later.

Those signs not compatible with them are Aries (too aggressive and harsh), Gemini (too prone to variety, and not sympathetic to their needs), and Leo (although they are easily led by him or her, they are also easily cast aside).

Male

They are sensitive and passionate, however somewhat unstable. They are attracted to strong voluptuous women. They can be extremely changeable, saying one thing to their lover and then turning around and doing exactly the opposite. They are very intuitive regarding acquaintances however quite blind to the defects of those they love. They love to go first class and will over extend them self in order to shower their mate with expensive gifts.

Female

They are feminine, intuitive, responsive and sensual. They are drawn to the creative or occult subjects. They are empathetic to those who have problems, therefore they often get used. They are a great one for fantasizing and in fact acting out their desires. Their biggest problem is that they tend to pick the wrong mate, resulting in the need to have extra marital affairs in order to receive the affection necessary for their survival. They are also prone to tears and extremely good at using emotional blackmail.

An ideal love partner

Pisces - Aries. Both are surprisingly well suited to each other as one is dominant over the other. Aries easily dominate over the Piscean as the latter likes someone to lead on them. Aries are selfish, bold and impatient; on the other hand Pisces are selfless, shy and secretive. Piscean's imagination and intuition helps Aries to innovate new ideas and experiments. This couple has to be tactful to communicate in other fields. Pisces are too sensitive to criticism, and Aries is sometimes brusque and rough. If they manage to overcome the existing differences, they will enjoy a long-lasting stable relationship. The relationship leads to success as Aries is attracted by Piscean's sensitive nature and Piscean feels no obstruction to be in the second place.

Pisces - Taurus. There lies a sweet and happy union between the two different signs. Taurus is patient, loving, selfish and jealous while Pisces is sensitive, imaginative, selfless and secretive. Passionate Taurus and sensual Pisces make a good combination. Both are sensitive, but extremely sensitive Pisces need special care and attention, which an abrupt materialist Taurus is not always ready to provide. Much more sentimental and emotional, Pisces will be hurt, if they are treated too commonly. If these problems are overcome, it’ll be a wonderful couple. Pisces promises a passionate romance and a satisfying marriage. The relationship works well only when Pisces is not dominated by Taurus. Hardworking Taurus set a good example for the lazy Pisces.

Pisces - Gemini. Behavior of these two signs is completely opposite but they can make a good pair either one is ready to change his behavior and make an adjustment. A strong physical desire may arise, but Gemini is too changeable and Pisces are too sensitive to be happy together for a long time. Gemini is joyful, lively, communicative, cunning and versatile; Pisces is sensitive, emotional, imaginative, selfless and secretive. Gemini lively nature and intellect impress Pisces and in the same way Pisces selfless and sympathetic attitude wins Gemini.Inattention of Gemini will irritate Pisces. Both are too egoistic to make attempts to adjust to each other’s behavior. They both need more strong and powerful partners. It is a short and passionate relation and a quiet marriage.

Pisces - Cancer. A couple which when binds together can make their dreams turn into reality. Cancer may prove to be an exigent lover, but Pisces have nothing against it. Both are sensitive, emotional, affectionate and deeply attached to each other. Strong emotions can either make this relationship much successful and caring or may destroy it. Both are romantic, cherish home and friends and need to love and be loved. They make no secret of their extreme sexuality and may spend a lot of time in the bedroom. Cancer plays the leading role and takes the main responsible decisions. Despite a number of quarrels, they generally meet emotional needs of each other and are mutually concerned about feelings. This is a splendid match.

Pisces - Leo.  Fire and water don’t mix. Fiery Leo and Watery Pisces Had an ability to learn from each other. Lacking self-control Leo will be disappointed with reserve of Pisces. No one understands the other side in full. Sentimental Pisces will irritate Leo, and he will start looking for new adventures. Pisces stay at home with uneasy thoughts, while Leo is strolling about abroad. They are quite different from each other starting from their personality to their behavior. Both believes in giving rather than taking for themselves. Leo extrovert nature clashes with Piscean unworldly attitude. Piscean sensitiveness often stand as a obstacle in the way of active Leo. The relationship will be difficult and marriage won’t bring satisfaction.

Pisces - Virgo. Virgo is opposite sign of Pisces but both can complement each other. They see things with different eyes, each will always be mystery to the other. Virgo is motivated by reason, analysis, facts and logic. Pisces is guided by feelings, emotions, intuition and that strange ability to sense what is what. Virgo brings method to Pisces madness, romance, Imagination. Pisces can add a touch of intangible magic to Virgo's life. Extremely sensitive Pisces won’t be satisfied with a reserved Virgo. Virgo turns down excessive sexual desire of Pisces, becomes too criticizing and pedantic. There are also other problems. Practical logical Virgo won’t put up with extravagant tastes of Pisces and their extreme emotionality. Virgo plans everything, while Pisces act impulsively and change their mind quickly. The relation will provoke many conflicts, and marriage will be deprived of joy and happiness.

Pisces - Libra. Although Libra is affectionate and of Pisces of a different nature, yet there can be an affinity because both appreciates beauty, entertainment, arts, harmony, love, affection, gentleness and the magic of romance. There will be difficulties in some aspects of relationship for the exception of physical side. However, even if they manage to overcome these problems, ther
